Updates: Quick Update And Update All

What This Page Covers

Choose between a controlled single-app update (Quick update) and a wider batch update (Update all).

Prerequisites

• Updates Center is open.
• Customer and tenant context are verified.

Click Path

1. Open Updates Center.
2. Click Quick update on one app, or click Update all for batch run.
3. In lightbox, review selected app list and version movement.
4. Set options:
   • Remove previous app from Intune
   • Assign to group immediately
5. If assigning, use Search Entra group by name or click Create group.
6. Confirm action and monitor progress/status area.

Recommended Safe Order

1. Start with one critical app via Quick update.
2. Validate assignment and deployment result.
3. Use Update all only after single-app success.

Verification Checklist

• Version progression is correct (current -> target).
• Assignment target group is intentional.
• Progress panel completes without unresolved errors.

Expected Result

• Selected apps update in intended context with clear status feedback.

If It Fails

1. Retry failing app with Quick update instead of bulk.
2. Re-check assignment toggle and selected group.
3. Verify active customer/tenant context.
4. Use Settings > Activity Logs for failure clues.
