Expected Result
- Selected updates are processed in intended tenant/customer context.
- You see clear status feedback for success or failure.
My Appscontinues to reflect the correct deployed app platform after update completion.- If update notifications are enabled, you also receive an email notification through Azure Communication Services.
Notification Behavior
Notify me when new update is availablesends one email when a new version is detected.- To avoid spam, users are not notified repeatedly for the same update cycle.
- Delivery retries are automatic: up to 3 attempts with 1-hour intervals.
Deploy Wizard (Step 6) Auto-Update Options
Auto Update: Enable or disable automatic version deployment.Schedule: ChooseDaily,Weekly, orEvery X hourswith explicit schedule inputs.Update Assignment: Reuse same Entra group and choose rollout strategy (Immediate (100%)orStaged rollout).Staged rollout: Must include100%as final stage; phase order is previewed in the UI.Compact layout: Core options stay visible, while notification/pause settings are grouped under advanced options.Notifications: Control update-detected email and one-hour pre-deploy reminder behavior.Pause auto-updates: Temporarily stop auto-updates immediately.Paused until: Optional UTC timestamp for automatic resume when the pause window ends.
If It Fails
- Confirm customer/tenant context and group selection first.
- Retry one app with
Quick updatebefore repeating bulk run. - Check
Settings > Activity Logsfor failing step. - If the updated app appears under the wrong customer or platform context, stop and re-check
