Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
PackMyApp (“we”, “our”, or “the service”) is a self-hosted deployment tool designed for IT teams. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, how we use it, and what rights you have. Because PackMyApp runs entirely within your own environment, we do not collect or store your data on external servers.
2. Data We Process
When you use PackMyApp, the following data may be processed:
- Microsoft Identity data — Your name, email address, and tenant ID are obtained from Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) during sign-in. This information is used solely to authenticate you and scope actions to your Intune tenant.
- Usage data — Actions you take within the application (e.g., deploying an app, viewing catalog entries) may be logged locally in the database for audit and troubleshooting purposes.
- Application catalog data — Metadata about applications (names, versions, package identifiers) is stored locally to power the catalog and update center features.
3. How We Use Your Data
All data processed by PackMyApp is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate users via Microsoft Entra ID and maintain your session.
- Execute Intune deployment actions on your behalf within your own tenant.
- Display usage history, update status, and deployment logs inside the application.
We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics services.
4. Data Storage
All data is stored in a local SQLite database within the PackMyApp installation directory on your own infrastructure. No data leaves your environment except for API calls made to Microsoft Graph on your behalf.
5. Microsoft Graph API
PackMyApp integrates with Microsoft Graph to read and write Intune management data. These interactions occur directly between your server and Microsoft using your tenant credentials. You can review Microsoft’s privacy practices at privacy.microsoft.com.
6. Data Retention
User activity logs and session data are retained for as long as the application is running. Administrators can clear log data at any time from the Admin panel. If you uninstall PackMyApp, all data is removed together with the installation.
7. Your Rights
As a user within your organization, your rights over personal data are governed by your organization’s policies and applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR). Contact your IT administrator or the person who operates this PackMyApp instance if you wish to access, correct, or delete your data.
8. Security
PackMyApp uses session-based authentication, HTTPS (when configured), and scoped Microsoft Graph permissions to minimize the attack surface. Sensitive tokens are never stored in plaintext.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
